He holds Master degrees in Fashion Management from NIFT, New Delhi, Computer Application from Guru Jhambeshwar University, Hisar and a Three year Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management Development Studies. He is a B.Tech in Textile Technology from Technological Institute of Textile and Science, Bhiwani. His Post graduation work in Fashion Management is on the launching of an Online Fashion Networking Platform for professionals of Fashion Value Chain. In MCA, he worked on implementing an automated examination system for the Department of Technical Education, Haryana. His undergraduate work is on the comparison of Ring, Rotor and Airjet Yarns with special reference to their structure.
He has an extensive experience of working with the various textile and handloom clusters of India related to sourcing of fabric and yarn. He is conversant with the various weaving and printing techniques of India, their cost and production implication.
In the past, He has worked in denim industry. Working with one of the leading manufacturers in the world, was instrumental in erecting a loom shed of 200 looms as a part of rope dyeing project of the company. He worked on the best of the looms producing denim of that time. He also contributed to the technical education industry in setting up textile labs, developing curriculum and making project reports for various schemes of government.
As a computer buff, he blogs as his pastime. He blogs about his passion -Textile and retail. He plays guitar whenever he gets time. He lives a contended life with his mother Shailesh, wife Ritu and children Dhruv and Juhi.
